one april in paris
Last April, my mom and I took a girls trip to Paris, a city I always dreamed of visiting. Our days were filled with adventure; firstly, we went to the Louvre where we saw the famous Mona Lisa. I felt as if history was staring back at me! The iconic glass pyramid caught my eye from the very beginning, later learning there are five more just like it. Secondly, we visited the Palace of Versailles where we got the opportunity to stand in the room where the Treaty of Versailles was signed, ending world war one. The gold touches on the palace, and the outstanding garden outside, overwhelmed me with interest. The architecture in which both of these buildings were constructed showcases the pristine French culture and style. Additionally, this trip was accommodated by many crepe bakery’s, where I got strawberries, bananas, and Nutella as the cherry on top. Lastly, we paid a visit to the Dior museum. This captivated the history of high quality fashion and the evolution of his designs. It goes without saying that I am beyond appreciative that I was able to experience my first time in Europe. I will forever treasure every moment I had in Paris from the moment I stepped off of the plane. Overall, the most rewarding part was learning about the French culture and being able to experience the beauty of the other side of the world. I took advantage of being the unicorn of the country—by standing out and sharing my own culture too.
